Youth Summer Workshop update: Summer Child
Our Summer Workshop filmmakers are on fire! The 6 participants have been each other’s crew, sounding board, inspiration, Google map, etc. Here’s a quick snap on the set of the love story Summer Child (director Thila Vijayan), which actor Simu Liu (right) graciously photo-bombed. Indefatigable workshop mentor and glorious filmmaker Gloria Kim also stopped by. She offered sage assistance to first-timer Thila on how to always capture “the story.” She also accidentally (affectionately?) called Simu “semen” after a take. But maybe that’s an easy mistake, especially when you’re in the heat of the moment.
