As the majority of professional Go players reside in East Asia, three young American Go players strive to become the first-ever Western professional players. Confident in their unique play style and underdog status, they represent the new generation of players. Throughout the competition these young players encounter intense matches; Go matches can take hours to days to finish, but also battle with their own anxieties of their future. Through the interviews, these players meet the greatest Go masters of all time and together reflect on what Go and life means to each of the young players.
