Join the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival (Reel Asian) and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) for a Lunar New Year Fundraiser and 10-course banquet dinner to celebrate the festivities and support Reel Asian’s youth mentorship and leadership programs that promote diversity and inclusion. Fundraising proceeds will directly support Reel Asian’s year-round and festival youth programs that help culturally diverse and newcomer youth from the GTA examine issues of identity and belonging through media arts, while providing leadership opportunities, education and job-skills training in film and creative production.
The Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) is a diverse coalition of Asian Canadian legal professionals working to promote equity, justice, and opportunity for Asian Canadian legal professionals and the wider community. FACL is also committed to working with local organizations, such as Reel Asian, to promote professional development opportunities for Asian Canadian youth.
In addition to providing a platform for Asian artists and their work, Reel Asian is dedicated to fostering the next generation of talent through Youth Programs including our May Asian Heritage Month school tour, Unsung Voices Summer Video Production Workshops, and November animation workshops and screenings.
