Reel Asian Gets SPuN!
Reel Asian’s ping-pong fundraiser is back for a second year at SPiN Toronto on June 14th! The funds you raise will allow Reel Asian to continue putting on all the free screenings, receptions, and special events throughout the year and at the festival. These events foster growth within the local Toronto art community and provides valuable networking opportunities that nurture the Asian Canadian filmmaking community.
Join us for a Sunday afternoon of ping pong, food and fun for only $45! You can choose to play ping pong for prizes or play for fun. There will be open tables for free play, or show off your skills at our 2-on-2 (doubles) recreational tournament. If you’re REALLY good, try your hand (for free!) at our Beat The Pro session to win more prizes! More information below.

PLAY FOR FUN – $45 per person
There will be tables for free play right from the start of the event, and as the tournament eliminates teams, more tables will be turned over for free play. After the tournament is over, all tables will be available for free play. Sign up to play, first-come first-served. If it starts to get busy, we may start limiting free play to timed sessions so that everyone gets a chance to play.
PLAY FOR PRIZES – $45 per person/$90 per team
There will be a doubles elimination-round tournament played for prizes. You must be on a team of two to compete. Pre-register your team, or let us match you up on the day of the event. Don’t worry if you’re not the best player – this is a non-professional RECREATIONAL tournament and it’s about having FUN!
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Your $45 ticket includes:
- All ping-pong fees
- Complimentary hors d’oeuvres
- Invitation to Reel Asian’s 2015 Opening Night Gala (screening and after-party)
There will be a cash bar for all beverages. Raffle prize tickets will also be available for sale: $5 for 1, $10 for 3, or your arm’s-length for $20.
