Reel Asian is proud to co-present TIFF Cinematheque’s latest documentary programme.
As part of Reel Asian’s Vista program, we’re proud to be the official Community Partner of The Crisis of the Real: New Chinese Independent Documentaries film series with TIFF Cinematheque from March 10 – April 1, 2016 to showcase a broad spectrum of unseen truths from the perspective of a new generation of independent Chinese documentary filmmakers focusing the lens on their country to expose and create refreshing real-life stories.
There’s a unique selection of films from mysterious deaths, a self-reflexive film to experimental documentaries including People’s Park which we screened as part of Reel Asian’s 2012 official film selection. We’re thrilled that director Libbie Cohn would be in attendance to introduce the film. Make sure to check them out!
